The steps to your dreamjob at EY

Frequently asked questions

How does onboarding work for experienced hires?

Experienced hires benefit from a structured onboarding, starting with a first day with their team to align on their role and priorities. This is followed by on-the-job learning and ongoing support to ensure a smooth and effective integration.

What about flexibility and work-life balance?

Flexibility is an important part of how we work at EY, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Depending on your role and team, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss flexible ways of working, including hybrid setups or adjusted schedules. It’s something we talk about openly, to find a balance that works in practice, both for you and your team.

What kind of projects can I expect?

You will work on challenging projects with local and international clients, often in multidisciplinary teams, allowing you to broaden your expertise and make a real impact.

Can I join EY from a different industry or company?

Absolutely. We value diverse backgrounds and believe that different perspectives strengthen our teams.

How does EY determine my level and role?

Your role and level are assessed based on your experience, skills, and potential. Not simply on your current job title. The goal is a strong match for both you and EY.

What is the difference between Industries and Financial Services?

At EY, we work with a wide range of clients across different sectors.

Financial Services (FS) focuses on clients such as banks, insurance companies, asset managers, and other financial institutions.

Industries covers all other sectors, such as consumer goods, technology, manufacturing, logistics, energy, public sector and more.

The work, clients and regulatory context differ, but in both cases you’ll work on impactful projects and develop strong professional skills.

What is the dress code at EY?

EY has a business casual dress code. We encourage you to dress in a way that feels professional and comfortable, depending on your role, team and client context.

When can I expect a response after applying?

We aim to provide feedback as quickly as possible, typically within one to two weeks after you apply. In some cases, it may take a little longer depending on the role or volume of applications, but transparency is always a priority.

Who can I contact if I experience technical issues with my application?

If you encounter technical issues while applying, you can contact our recruitment team via recruitment@be.ey.com. We’ll be happy to help you.

How does EY approach sustainability in daily work?

At EY, sustainability is not just about long-term ambitions. It’s also about the choices we make every day.

From the way we travel to how we work, we try to make more sustainable decisions part of our daily routine. Our fleet includes hybrid and electric cars, and our flexible benefits plan allows you to choose options that suit your lifestyle, such as a train subscription or a bike lease.

Because for us, making a difference also starts with the small, practical choices we make every day.
